Hot properties.

As you can imagine, we’re hard at work behind the scenes to prepare for the reset of the game later this week. In addition to working out bugs, we’re also adding hardware in the background. This activity may result in the servers going down for a few minutes at a time. If you get a server down message, please try again.

Just for fun we wanted to share the top 10 most searched streets or neighborhood in the world of Monopoly City Streets.

When I get a hazard I can only place them agianst the top ten on the leader board. I can't actually find anyone else. Please fix that... Also how do you remove a hazard once its been placed? It seems the key is getting a chance card that will protect your street before you get a hazard. I have yet to see one..

Please expand the leaderboard to make it more interesting and fun. 99.9% of your players aren't going to be anywhere near the top of the Global or National leaderboard. Your local leaderboard is TOO local which seems to be like a 2 mile radius. Please expand the local leaderboard or create special leaderboards for entire towns and cities. There is nothing to play for. Do you see?

Does anyone know how to demolish a hazard off one of your own streets? I got a buldozer card but the only options with it are Find Opponents and Discard. Even if I click on one of my streets I don't see an option to buldoze anything.

Please make stadiums, schools and parks impervious to buldozers. The rate that those drop compared to the buldozer card is way too low.

And it would add more fun and less being worried about your streets getting sabotaged.

I'm warning you Hasbo, if you don't expand the leaderboard then you're going to lose 75% of all your players within a month due to boredom. I'm a pro gamer with 30 years of gaming experience and I know what I'm talking about.

Another MAJOR problem you have Hasbro, is with the City Centre Cottage. It and the green house are the only buildings which pay 1 to 1 per investment dollar. All your other buildings pay less than 1 to 1, so all a player needs to do is keep building City Centre Cottages and will rack up massive amounts of money, never any need to build the more expensive buildings. Please fix.

Hasbro - Another thing you need to do is DRAMATICALLY reduce the odds of receiving a card from purchasing the lesser expensive buildings. It's a kind of cheat because a player obtain ungodly amount of cards just by purchasing the cheap inexpensive buildings. I'm telling you, there is absolutely no incentive in buying the expensive buildings, not when there is unlimited number of streets to buy.

I have stumbled upon a bug. I've tried to sell a street when there had been problems with the servers. I've ended up with no money and no street. It's colored in purple and I can't build anything, although the card is still in my properties.

Lets look at the Monopoly Tower for example. It cost $100,000,000 but only yields $5,000,000 per day. It will take the investor 20 DAYS just to recoup his losses. With a $75,000 city centre cottage the investor makes $75,000 per day so he recoups his losses in just 1 DAY. The only REAL benefit is saving time. If a player has the time to lay down $75,000 houses then he makes out like a bandit.

I believe it would be a good idea to allow players to develop buildings on the streets of other players, and collect a rent fee just like in real life. I have many streets, but I can't concentrate on developing them all at ones. At-least this way, other players can develop houses, and buildings, on a street and collect rent for allowing them to do so. Just a thought....

As far as bugs go, I am still having issues loading my friends list (for the 3rd time). Everytime I click Friends, I get the Our Server Is Down, trying to figure out if the building was demolished etc error message.

Please fix this =D

please note too that the global "leaders" numbered 2,3,4 all start with STRAsomething. Obviously this is some sort of hack. Also of note, #5: yes we, #6:can. Come on, is Obama playing the game or something???

@Kruelgor the advantage of buying the more expensive buildings is that you save space, and as you could see in this first weeks, streets run out pretty quick... at the beggining is not worth it, but when you start to get rich it pays off...

What's even more funny is that by current rules everyone would be free to destroy that Monopoly Tower the same day it was built.
But average buildings are ok. Exponential growth of income pretty much requires such measures.
On the other hand 100k streets with minuscule rent... I don't really get it.

@Cuturi: City Centers earn 75,000 per day on 1,000,000 streets, i.e. the longest ones, the shorter the street the less the building earns as rent.
@Kruelgor: A City Center after a week has made 525,000 rent, a Grid building after a week has made 3,150,000 rent. So the bigger buildings will pay off better over time (even though they take up more space), the Monopoly Tower is a waste of money, its just for the richy rich's to show off (until someone buildozes it and they loose thier 100m :-)

Idea 1: All streets should be auctioned for 24h after the first bet. You shouldn't be able to just buy a street after the restart. That's just stupid.

AND - also stupid -> The longer the street the higher the rent!? What logic is that? "Rheinufer" is just a trail...!!! You can't even drive there by car!? Or take the "A3" - it's a motorway, a highway! I don't think you wanna live there. "Gotschna" is a Tunnel through the mount Gotschna in the Alps!!! Expensive skyscrapers in that tunnel... ;-)

Come on my city has over 2 million people, but none of the streets are buyable?
Tiny 5-thousand-people towns in the USA have ALL of their tiny streets, and even smaller cities on my country do have a few buyable streets here and there, but mine is completelly empty regardless of being quite a big city...
(Recife, Brazil)
It could definitelly have at least the bigger streets available.

what everyone should realise is that. The game strategy changes as time goes by. For eg. when streets are available, the best strategy is to build green houses and cottages. But what happens when no more streets to buy?? You either negotiate to buy more or you have to upgrade your own buildings. This game is long and drawn out and will require lot of patience. In my opinon most imp bugs to fix -1. Multiple accs for same player. 2.Logic that decides top player.

I think there should be an option to delete an account created by accident as i just did. :(
Please bound the account to a mail. Ppl that plays other online games have too much info to remember already. So we can recover not only the pass but the username too all via mail.
An option to receive a newsletter email about the game instead of this blog or twitter would be nice too.
Last but no least, make more streets available! The capital of Brazil(Brasília by the way) isnt available but other thousand cities in Brazil are. So please be smart cause we loved this game!

Exactly. I've got one street I'm really concentrating on, I've got a bunch of high rises, concrete fortresses, etc, and now space is really tight. I'm gonna have to sell some of the smaller ones to make room for the bigger ones.

I'm concentrating on this street only because it's a $1,000,000 street, and I've got 3 stadiums on it haha. Its way too hard to protect all my streets, so I protect only one. Already one of my schools has been bulldozed off it.

It would be great to add in the rules the following tip :

When you got a buldoze card, you can use it by clicking on an owned street (blue) then click on the "+" under the building.

FInally click on "buldoze" on the building property card.


WITHOUT THAT, the top 10 will be spammed as the button "find a street" (or victim don't remember) always point to the leader board.

it would be cool if a search was setup for finding players

server speed has improved much since start and seems to gradually get better but not at fast increments.

a history tab maybe to show actions, current and past?

being able to find a building on your street: when other players put hazards or you put a building way down along the street, we shouldnt have to scroll to it, we should be able to just click something within the deed

during server problems todayt I tried to buy a street
Result: bought one street three times, and another one time, they show up in my property overview, but the streets aren't red! (but the money is gone) Furthermore, someone else bought the same street that I'm supposed to owe three times!!! NOT FUNNY (PEAKOIL)

One connection limited to 1 ip does not work, the real cheaters have their ways to avoid that problem, the players that are really playing, behind a NAT/Router/Etc are the ones who get hit by that limitation, so it will punish the wrong players.

BUG:
In Japan there is 1 big long street, it is sold (sometimes blue) but you cannot find it , even not if you walk and serach step by step.
That lucky guy get never a hazard ...

The problem with that thinking is that you can buy 10 city centers for the price of one Grid building. So after one week spending the same amount, 10 city centers will give you 5,250,000 and a Grid building will get you 3,150,000 for spending the same price after a week. 10 buildings will take up more space obviously, but there are a lot of streets you can buy.

@Kruelgor - I don't think your "30 year pro gamer" status is going to convince anyone of anything.

I know the chance cards are random, but God-damn. I earned 15 mil this turn, and paid 7.5 of it right back in bad cards. property lawyer twice at 2.8 mil each, and 2 environmental cards at 900k. Think you could fix this please? either make the bad cards appear MUCH less often or decrease the penalties.

I agree with everyone else complaining aboutthe chance cards, it is really broken right now. Look at this:

I earned $6,700,000+
1 Chance card took away $2,675,000
1 Chance card took away $1,628,000+

So I basically had less than 2 million to spend... chance cards are broken.

If I may make a suggestion.

You might want to think about publicizing the changes you intend to make at the same time as the reset.

Not only will that give people a chance to understand and plan accordingly but the feedback you get might help you tweak the settings/changes for the best effect.

For example, I gather you are intending to change certain features of the transactional system to limit the impact of or remove the profitability of people using multiple accounts.

Including your user base in a discussion of what changes you are intending to make and how you are hoping they will adjust gameplay will provide a lot of valuable feedback and perspectives from your users.

Those of us who like strategy games and simulations tend to be pretty good at figuring out how to maximize a positive effect and minimize an negative one, and since we are already here, why not make use of our collective brainpower.

Additionally, I had a couple more brief ideas.

1) Make the use of chance cards cost money and my the cost scalable based on the value of the target street. This will force a choice between building more or sabotaging another player. It will also provide a more realistic money sink.

Lastly, it will prevent the creation of spam accounts for the purpose of griefing. A new account wouldn't be able to sabotage a well developed street for a lack of funds.

2) Prevent level 1 accounts from using or being targeted by building effect chance cards. Folks don't stay a level 1 for very long but a person getting jacked at the level is more likely to leave than work around it as they have little investment in the game.

It also reduces the amount of griefing that can be done with spam accounts.

Lastly, you have to adjust the negative money chance cards somewhat. In one sitting, I received 40 million upon logging in and set about building. During that one session, I lost 34 million to three separate negative chance card fines.

I like that negative chance cards are more painful than positive ones are helpful, but there should be some sort of balance there. I would suggest limiting the penalties of a negative chance card to 10% of the players current cash on hand.

I am starting to find that the game is very mean-spirited, I am being attacked by people I don't even know for no reason. I now discard all hazard building cards because I don't like people doing it to me. Why don't you make the game more about trade and less about vendettas? I might stop playing after the reset if I keep getting more hazards built on my streets. Its not fun, its not sporting. It's not what I want happening in my neighborhood. Its easy to hurt your neighbors in this game but there's no way to help them. What are you trying to say about people and your company?

Chance Cards need to be harder to get, so someone cannot register 'attack' accounts to gain a bunch of bulldoze and hazard cards. Perhaps the Chance Cards should be based not on activity alone but the sort of activity, so if you buy a street load of Green Houses you don't get any Chance Cards (well no bulldoze or hazard) until you build something bigger, or become another level. That way throw-away 'attack' accounts cannot be used to acquire a bunch of demolish/hazard cards. And people that actually play the game properly do get the chance cards

Or an easier way to do it would be (extending from something facce said), Level 1's cannot be attacked with Demolish/Hazard cards (helps them get into the game) BUT Level 1's cannot use (or even get) Demolish/Hazard cards, this way these newly created 'attack' accounts will not be able to gain so many demolish/hazard cards within one day :-)

Please fix the issue where people can't click on the friends list. It's not broken for everyone, but VERY unfair for those of us it's broken for. We get the following error.

Whine about how the line was busy and you couldn't be the 104th caller and get a restart?

It may interest you to know that some of us persisted on checking the functionality of the site, and went about establishing strategy/value only to learn that a bunch of crybabies went on whining the last few days!

I see enough open property to satisfy every single person with a computer. So why the reset?!

Securing critical properties gives away strategy. I dived into this game focused on my strategy only to find out that Google and Monopoly are gonna sell it to a bunch of spoiled brats.

Thanks. Forget about perseverance. Learn to whine, cheat, cry, threaten and even "No Evil" will submit to your will.

For shame...
As an intense Google supporter from the Beta invitation days I can say that when you reset, I plan on remembering that taste in my mouth.

This game has the POTENTIAL to be good.

The cheap houses need to be less profitable then the expensive ones. Otherwise nobody smart will ever build anything besides green houses.

The $1,000,000 max price for a street needs to be removed. I just bought a 20 mile chunk of highway for only 1,000,000.

Buildings need to make the same amount of rent no matter how long their street is or else the only place worth building anything is the middle of nowhere.

Just my opinion. I don't mean to bash on the game.

Loads of amazing streets. Unfortunately my country was up to late in order to have a chance to purchase one of these popular streets. Therefore, I'm definitely looking forward to the reset.

Remember that this current generation is considered to the the 'entitlement' generation. They want it they get it, no questions asked. People who disagree get their heads bitten off.

1. make demolition cards also work on hazard building on other streets - would be nice to be able to do something nice for other people instead of just being nasty to other players

2. make a player search - so you can find your friends or the person who nuked your place

3. make a trades history - so you can look up who offered what for what - or what offers you've made that were turned down - without them having to stay on the alerts list and bug ya...

and lastly - reward those who have stuck with it through the testing phase rather than reset them to base along with those who didnt bother...

Look at this cheater, is this going to happen after the reset? I think it is going to happen all over again. Even if you limit people to 5 transfers today, the top players will funnel funds 5 times a day. If you don't do it 5 times a day, then you lose. If it is 5 times a day, 10 different players, then top players will funnel funds 50 times per day, or they will not be top players.

Yep, the chance cards need tweaked.

Today's total, from a $33M income:

1x Tax Penalty: 9.8M
3x Environment: 1.9M each (so, round to 2M, make this 6M total)
1x Bad Permits: 7.6M

1x Social Media: +100K
1x Lawsuit: +250K
1x EotY: +500K

1x Sewer Hazard
1x Stadium Bonus (not bulldozed yet, but I give it an hour or so)

What DIDN'T I get? Demolition permits! I'm COMPLETELY at the mercy of other players now.

Within hours of getting a street, with a grand total of -3- Bonus buildings, and then building it up, all 3 Bonuses are gone, and a goddamned prison sits there! What makes it worse is that it looks to have been done by a multi-accounter, as all the attacks were targeted on one street, and in the span of just an hour.

I mean, I know life at the top of the local board isn't supposed to be easy, but I don't need the system screwing me over as well as the players.

The system needs tweaked as follows:

1) Bring the positive and negative cash cards in line with each other. Maybe make static values for the various levels on both sides, or both variable. Nothing is a bigger slap in the face than losing millions (and MrMonopoly, YOU see what a negative chance card does to you with that $2 Billion liquid balance), and getting a paltry 100 grand back when cards are already at a premium.

2) Increase the likelihood of demolition cards as hazards pile up on a player. Placing a bonus building will negate all of them, but they still take up valuable space. When there's a greater than 1:1 ratio of hazards to owned streets, it's just piling on, and a player needs to be able to dig out from under it. Give him the tools he needs to do it, or he'll just walk away. Add the above to it, and even Ray Charles would throw a flag for that garbage.

A reset which exterminates a group fast enough and enthused enough (to not give up on glitches. To have faith in both brands) to position themselves, with full strategy, only to find out that their crucial edge is to be exterminated.

Let's see that savvy, perseverance and insight to essentially define property values on global spots with perfect honesty and what is the result?

It'll be opportunistic voice of the, "entitled" as you put it, greedily taking advantage of the promise shown by a few.

The Reset will wipe away a promising start to an interesting sociological experiment on property ownership. With all the cheating I still believe solutions could be found through open communication and feedback (Property auctions, etc).

We're loosing our will to fix things through will... That taste I referred to earlier.

Yep, I got hit with a $10,000,000 chance card, too. I got back $600,000.

$10,000,000 was a THIRD of my income!

And then I noticed the damn cheater posted above on the Local Board, cheating to the top.

This will 100% happen again after the reset. I won't be left in the dust after the reset though. Cheaters are rewarded here, so I am prepared to make a 1000 leech accounts if nothing is done to stop it.

I suggest something should be done about the rent we get from Buildings
Green house / cottage give full return in one day .

Whereas costlier buildings give less rent.

So people are focusing their strategy to build horizontally rather than vertically.

i.e : Horizontally : To buy more streets and cover the streets with green houses.

Vertically : Focus on one street and make skyscrpers.

i think more and more people focusing on horizontal startegy is bad .. as they get more chance cards and also less damage if a opponent places hazard or use bulldozer on them. Also the available streets in a town/country gets over preety soon by this approach.
And no one takes the risk of building skyscrapers as they may loose it cause again opponents can easily get bulldoze and hazard cards by just creating green house in abundance.


This is just a suggestion that tweak the game in such a way that vertical startegy gives more returns and chance cards and also offcourse it has a bit more risk .. Hence balancing the game ..

against all other suggestions, ideas and wishes, there is one thing I'll mention:

Who said that 1.5* of price to buy a street from other users isn't enough should think about the fact, that you can put to your cash offer as many and expensive streets you own.
One example: Your offer for a street whitch is worth 500,000 M$ , can include 750,000 M$ in cash (this is the 1.5* price) and one of your own streets which is e.g. worth 3,250,00 M$.
This is a total price (bid) of 4,000,000 M$ for the street you want to get from the other user.

So I think that the 1.5* in cash M$ is absolutely enough.

When I click on a couple of streets listed on the “Wiev my streets” menu the map shows another place. My id is Daricszz and the 2 streets are:

- Via Luigi Einaudi, 00043 Ciampino Rome
- Mozartstraße, 88214 Ravensburg, Germany

Hope also that you can solve the multiple accounts problem as I think that this is really the biggest issue for this game at the moment.

Suggestion:

RENT should be dynamic, the more buildings/bonus/houses around the more the rent, and the lesser with hazard buildings around.

The value of a local area's streets should also be dynamic based on the factors stated above.


Multi accounting? Tie them up with e-mail. No trading between accounts in same IP, Report Button.

Just thinking about the whole offer gig and thought to myself the 1.5x max thing sucks a bit, especially when you work so hard to build a street up only to get some piddly amount for it. So I thought to mind (though it'd be too late to implement) was to have a simple fixed bid system. I want a street, so my initial bid is the value + 50%. Then I can't offer again as I'm the current person making the offer. If the street was truly popular others can bid and each time it's another 50% so value + 100%, value +150% and so forth .. then it becomes a bidding war. If I'm removed as the bidder, then I can bid again except it would be a higher bid. Cheaters would have to have enough money on their multitude of other accounts to overbid themselves each time in order to inflate the price. That might work when prices are low but then the gain isn't really that much so as it's value went up, then they'd seriously need a stack of cash/streets to raise it up. Would need some tweaking but ya get the idea.

Also I see the current offer process as a way to mask a person's score. I could be making a stack of bogus accounts and sending them offers which lowers my score on the fly. So I'd be 'off the radar' as far as the score goes. Then boom, reject the offers and suddenly my score shoots up, the cash comes back and blam!, monopoly towers all along the 1 street I own in a last minute effort to take the lead whilst copping no attention along the way.

Actually offers are not capped at 150% at higher levels. It's possible to offer more than 1000% on level 3.

I, along with quite some other players spent a lot of time building up our portfolio of streets and all that effort is going to waste. Instead of putting the loyal players at a disadvantage to accomodate new players, the new players should be given a separate world so they can vy for the top streets too, but without deleting our efforts. Look at other online games if their worlds get too crowded, they open up another world for players to join and I think you should do the same!

I disagree with those saying that the game is too mean-spirited, that others should not be able to place hazards or bulldoze, etc etc. The fact is Monopoly has always been a winner takes all, cut-throat, survival of the fittest game, despite its staid image and venerable age. Having an opponent land on Boardwalk when you have built four hotels there, and then watchingthem count their pathetic stack of low-denomination bills over and over in the vain hope that they will be able to scrape the rent together is Schadenfreude at its finest!

Congratulations for transferring a lovely board game to the WWW. It's my opinion though that the game concept is basically wrong. While the board game focussed the players at competition, due to the limited number of streets and buildings, MCS has no real target to achieve. What else can be done than searching worldwide for a street and placing buildings on it. The only possible fun is to place hazards on other properties. How poor. The board game is perfect because it has a psychological side effect, eg. competing with family and friends. MCS instead is playing against people you don't and you never will know. I also don't believe everybody is mean. It happens to me also to get hazard cards and no use for it, more than bonus cards. I love the idea of playing together with the whole world and do find it reasonable interesting looking at other countries and cities in order to spot a street, but then? Why is there no concept of collaboration instead of fight. Why is the target not to produce the best local community instead of scarying away the serious players. I'm not afraid of cheaters, they usually don't get the spirit of a game and I don't care if I'm not "Best in the world". Give them the power to place incentives instead of hazards and they are gone, perhaps "converted" to serious playing. I understand that this is maybe the first of great worldwide games and there are many issues to be adressed. Therefore, again congratulations. I would like all players of Ravenna, Italy to make their city the best of all as I also wish this to every else location in the world. I want to see where people do help each other in creating an interesting place, for my next travel maybe. There have been so many good suggestions in this blog and I can see people are enjoying the game but they are disappointed by the dynamics. Sure, the rules are not clear, program is buggy ecc. Folks, this is the first launch, good start even if slow and painful. Reset? OK, why not. Nothing will really change after that. I could not buy Wall Street in first place and will not after the reset. Who cares? I have a street in a place in Russia I even didn't know it does exist. That's interesting. Anyway, people, get on playing and improving. For Hasbro, take all the suggestions made by this people serious, the wouldn't write if they wouldn't find the idea great. Ciao.

How does the "local" highscore works - is the first street important or the ip adress?

There are still some problems. I just purchased the street (it was avaliable froma bank). It was 1mln street. But after the purchase map does not show this street and there is now way to build anythinng on it.

One thing you definitely have to change is the use of Demolishion/Hazard cards...One should only be able to target people from the same level.

Today, it might not even be important, but imagine the last day of the game, everybody will just create a lot of spam accounts and destroy absolutely everything he has. Spending the 3Mil from the beginning on Green Houses gives about 2-5 Hazards and Demolishers -> Bye-bye #1

People are hung up on buying specific streets, just look elsewhere, no biggy at all. There are loads of streets unclaimed. Today I have bought 3 million pounders and have have earmarked more for tomorrow.
Luigi made valid points above, although a little harsh on the game IMO. A community/team/clan aspect would be great. My wife and son also play and purchased most of the town we come from, we had a couple of outsiders which we fought off, a great deal of fun was had.
Chance cards have been fair to us, I have had a huge ammount of bonus cards but also my fair share of negative cards, chance is chance, I guess people only complain when you are on the raw end of luck. Building horizontally rather than vertically does produce more cards, but also more hazards among them, so I find this aspect fair too!
My only changes would be somehow taking the incentives away from buying million streets only and a team aspect.
Great job Hasbro and all others involved! And shame on the fan sites spamming these comments with urls to empty forums, you know who you are Donovan et al!

After playing, or beta testing I suppose with the reset coming, just a few observations and suggestions to toss into the ring.

- Cheating. It's been covered by a number of other people and their postings, but this appears to be very easy to do, and very wide spread in the game's present configuration. Obviously there is a way around most anti-cheat measures. And being a free game, I doubt there's much of a budget for this. But some sort of an attempt should be made. Not only on the front end, but also on the back end. When a blatant cheater is caught, they should lose everything.

- Messaging or Mail. If you add this feature, please add some sort of 'opt in' or 'opt out' ability. While I realize it would be an added boon with talking with friends, I also don't want to log on and find my alerts stuffed full of profanity laced rants of the inept. Also, if this is done, some sort of spam filter should be added. Heck, just look at the blog and how much spam crap is filling that up already.

- Spam on the blog. If you want people to read things, you need to moderate them and clean them up.

- Chance cards. These definitely need to be tweaked a bit. Especially some of the percentages of the negative dollar amounts they hit a player for. The percentages seem to be a bit too high.

- Better searches. A number of people have already asked for a User or Account name search. I'd also like to see a search filter for streets when looking for streets available to buy. The graphics loads seems to be iffy at best sometimes.

- One more step in Zoom In. When just looking around, adding one more step of magnification between the national level and city level would be nice. No graphics overlay would be needed, but would make navigating around the maps more easy.

- Reconsideration of the demolition feature. I'm not sure I'm a fan of this feature, as it isn't part of the standard Monopoly game to begin with. It just seems to be something to bring out the nastier side of people, rather than being a fun feature of the game.

What's the possibility of adding a search based on cost of street, as the game progresses, its harder to find available streets, a search capacity in the form of , let say 0 - 500,000 / 500,000 - 1M / 1M -1.5 M, you gety the idea.

Maybe it's already been mentioned, but I've noticed that if I check the details of a building (clicking on the little plus), I can't then check another building until reloading my browser. It does seem to be browser specific (IE7), firefox works fine.

I believe it relates to this error (IE):

Some say there is a problem in the rent rate, since only Greeen House and City Centre Cottage got 100% daily return. At first I through in the same way too. However, after a closer look, I think it is perfectly ok. Since you have to climb the building ladder to get more daily income. Don't forget you can sell your existing building and replace them with a more expensive and profitable one. So please keep the current pricing schema for building.

It is a long term game, and you can't just have City Cottage on your street until the game end.

This has probably already been mentioned, but just in case it hasn't, I'd like to point out that there are many occurences, where *streets overlap one another*. I really hope this issue gets addressed because it's really weird to see a stadium with a tower in the middle or a house going through a castle... and furthermore, it can get quite tricky trying to select the overlapped street.

The second thing I had on my mind is a suggestion:
Could you make some sort of a *card holder*? In other words, a list where we could store our cards in case we don't want to spend them immediately.
Let's say I get a buldozer card, but right now, I have no hazards, so I'd like to save it for rainy days. But then I get another chance card, let's say a hazard. It erased my previous card, so now I don't have the buldozer anymore.

In case I'm missing something and such a thing does exist, or there's a queue of cards and they have to be spent in a particular order, I'd really like to know.

I just came a cross a bug. If you sell a Bonus property, it rolled my money backwards, and then the hundreds digits just kept rolling. I logged out, and back in, and now it is ok, but just something you may want to look into. I just tried it again, and the same thing happened, so this is a repeatable error.

I suggest some modofication:

1, "buy street" function. If i want to buy a street then i always searching for street without owner. So i would like to suggest if i click to this icon then list only the streets without owner. List the closest 30-50 "free" streets from the center of the screen.

If i want to buy a street witch owned by other people then i want to click to the street only.


2, If i sell a street then sell the buildings automaticaly too, or disable the sell street button while it contains buildings.

3, add more buyable street to the game.

4, faster game play, this is too slow. (If this is neccesary then use lower rental prices or something like this...)

5, when i click to the "search" icon than put the focus to the search field.

6, filter the cheaters and ban them ;)

Here's my suggestion. Instead of having the chance cards be randomly distributed whenever an action is made, why not make the chance cards purchasable? That way instead of you buying something and having the chance card as a bonus, you must decide whether to spend money on a chance card or to buy buildings/properties. It would create that necessary money sink by making demolition and bonus buildings cost something. There's risk involved from the penalty cards so rampant chance card purchasing would not be optimal so that some strategy would be required.

The leader board should be named Hit list. If you get on the top 10 you are basicly number 1 target for anyone who gets a chance card.

I think the leader board is a nice idea but i also think that it would be better if you could only effect players on the same level(-+ 2) as you. This would mean the top players are not constantly being attacked by everyone.

It would also be nice if there was a holder for your chance cards. I dont want to use the chance card as soon as i get it when im trying to build 40 houses. I would like to use it in 5 mins time once ive finished. So if we could click disgard and it go into a box for later use within 2 hours that would be much better.

When a chance card pops up and your building a lot of houes on a long street you jump to the middle of the street which is anoying when you are trying to build a lot of houses.

There seems to be a lot of bad chance cards but not a lot of good ones and if your in the top10 any where then it becomes very hard to sort out the mess from all the bad cards that have been handed out.

One other little thing would be a option when building houses to "Fill street with this house type" thus making life a little easier on a 10 mile long road or maybe a build 20 of these etc.

I would say that log-ins should resemble Google ids.

Streets seem to have gone too fast, so they probably need to be more expensive to buy (so that people could only afford one a day at the start) and more streets definitely need to be added.

Today i got eight chance cards, i lost 50% of my money, and gained no bonus buildings.

I've realised that the chance cards are mostly negative. Which means for people like me who build only small buildings, and about 50 of them per street, we have a serious disadvantage.

I think your chance cards shouldn't be based on the number of buildings you buy, but you should get one for free every day.

Anyone else having big display issues on macs? In both firefox and safari, I'm finding it VERY hard to see the whole display. Even at my highest resolution, I can't see the full login screen (resulting in me registering in spanish, the only button I could see...). PLEASE FIX!

Could you please do the changes on saturday or sunday.. most of the people got a day job and some cant access it during these office hours. by the time we might be able to log on, the streets will all be gone!

@Nick, thats because of the resolution on the mac book, try making your doc bar at the bottom smaller or hide its self. I found that i could get it to work with firefox but not safari, also try putting firefox / safari in full screen mode. on a PC that "F11" possible Funciton + F11 on a mac.

@Carl - I can see even if this person is not cheeting how that is possible, i had about 5 mil and built 30+ building on one street and must of recived at least 5-10 chance cards all of which could do this. Thats why im not keen on the leader board as its more of a HIT LIST than anything else.
