Yay! Got what I wanted. Didn't say that street prices would be substantially raised though. Thought I could buy 3 out of my 5 streets today but.. what used to be 1m is now 1.8m! Oh well.. It's working GREAT so far.

Well stuff was showing up and working for the first 5 mins I got in after registering, but now the hourglass keeps spinning but not showing any streets other than the last one I bought and built on.

It worked ok for me but it looks like street prices have been adjusted. Also, I'm disappointed to see that there aren't more protections against cheating. You should at least require an email address. If it's just based on IP, cheaters will easily be able to circumvent that. Email as well, bit the two together offer more protection. There should also be a function to report cheating.

@Icefall: If the hourglass keeps spinning and nothing else happens, try to logout and login again. This helped for me.

I'm looking around London and the game does not appear to have been reset, with the newspapers still owning the properties they got to bag when they were previewing the game.
I really DO think, that TAX, as it is, is STUPID. It limits the number of streets to 38 (=99% tax!!!) and is also disadvantage for those, who would like to buy a huge amount of small streets, like in suburbs or city centers.

Well, a few comments for those interested:
1) Streets aren't limited to 1M max. Near my start I have a street costing 7.5 and 8.5 million. Seems that they are now price related to their length. Not sure if there are upper limits.
2) Valuation on rent is (street_price/1,000,000) * building_price * building_variable. I.e. a 1,280,000 street will net 64,000 rent on a green house.
3) Chance cards are rarer. Last time I got pretty close to one card per 5 buildings. In 29 buildings buildings I've gotten:
1 Gift card - 100k
1 Dozer
1 Tax - 368k, 51.5% of my cash reserves at that time.
3 cards aren't enough to set a baseline though, but it does seem they've cut down on the rarity of them. Was starting to think that they might only be once a day kind of things.

thestrip owns five streets in vegas, valued at tens of millions of dollars, and has 3 million... cheating has definitely been fixed.

Registered ok here. I get the tax thing - It does limit the number of streets. You now need to upgrade the buildings on your streets over time and trade more, rather than just it being the person with the most streets wins.
I did just like the first time, but there is no way, to go on when I press the registration button.
The names owning the bigger streets are like easter eggs. Funny names owning streets that are too rich for anyone to buy. No one real owns them yet, its just a funny thing the developers put in.

For all you peeps wondering about the big streets; wall street, broadway etc. IMO there are a couple players created by the the gamemakers, to take out the original Monopoly streets. Check out for example, MRMONOPOLY. He has 191 streets, most of which I recognize from the various country-boards; England, Holland, France, Spain, New york etc.

How come some streets that you could purchase before the restart can't be purchased now? I went to get a specific street that I was going to buy before the restart and it won't let me purchase it now.
Also,how come sometimes when you buy a street and you own it, the street is still listed as "for sale" ?
Other then that, I registered just fine and everything seems to be running quick.
If you still can't register, try buying a random street in a different country. It worked for me.

Don't you guys realize that these owners are easily companies such as THE TODAY SHOW and others probably like The Dave Letterman show (TopTen as in TopTen list he does every night) not to mention Mr Monopoly! Duh, the game developers are Mr Monopoly retards, and these other companies paid real cash money to Hasbro to own these streets!!
Its similar to Second Life where virtual places were worth real money to companies for marketing purposes.

the chance card glitch still works where if you discard and sign out, the card pops up again when you sign in. also, lol at all the people who wasted a hazard on streets owned by Mr. Monopoly.
At 38 streets you get taxed 100% of your income.
Thats just stupid. Ok have a high tax but max it out at 75% or 80%, if you reach 39 streets you have no reason to continue playing

I asked on twitter about accounts like 'Bunny' 'Mr Monopoly'...it replied that Mr Monopoly will sell his streets later...
However, no answer on accounts like 'TODAYSHOW' and 'BUNNY', with those ridiculously expensive streets.
I'm not saying cheaters or anything, probably devs or press accounts.

Remember , your first purchase dictates where your "HOME" is and you will always dictate to that position by default.

confirmed. If you have problems with registration, register by buying a street in the US and then buy the street you are looking for.

Registration works fine here. And the game runs like a rabbit! NICE WORK!!!!!!!
Findings so far:
- Signing up works. My kids, my wife and me signed up from the same IP. Signing up is snappy, so far performance seems great.
- No email confirmation. Was affraid that nagging hardcore gamers begging for one login per IP would screw up the fact that monopoly is a family game. Hasbro has decided against it apparently, good for them.
- There are streets now that are really expensive. My planned strategy had to be reviewed because of that. Particularly the taxes will need to change people's strategy as it pays off now to have fewer streets but with more expensive buildings on there. Can't buy those up front so at some point it may be wiser to tear down your smaller buildings and simply replace them with bigger ones. Good call Hasbro!
On the whole I'm pretty happy with this restart. Compliments to Hasbro!

all old IDs expired and also streets have new prices... At first I thought the streets had prices including buildings on them, w.r.t. old status. i.e. I thought all my streets were unaffordable by me coz the buildings were still on them and I had no money... I was like..WTF GIMME A GUN...
But then i figured out the real deal... The game has definitely gone a hell lot better...!!

To whoever does the german translation:
Please, the german word for "Hazard"-Buildings is "Blockade" and not "blokarde".
I finally managed to register - gave up on trying near my home town and went to try and buy a street in Barcelona - got in first time. And must have tried in Portugal over 100 times before that, with no luck...
Thing is, every time I start the game now, it will take me to Barcelona :-/
Chance cards seem to be rarer (although I got 3 in my first 5-6 buildings - but it came down from that afterwards).
For more expensive streets, now you can get more rent than what the building cost in the first place. So it definitely pays to go for the loger streets in the first place.
Tax does seem a bit silly but I understand it's a way to keep people from buying all the streets they can. And, in the long run, it will impose trading - people will want to trade their smaller streets for bigger ones...
All in all, appart from the registration problem, the game seems to be responding preety well... but america is still sleeping ;)

Can't register in Ireland. So many streets still left here I figure others are having similar problems, but the streets are slowly fading away and I'll be left like last time, with a few tiny streets I can build very little on. Ho-hum.

If you got problems with registration, try to delete all content in this folder:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects/
*replace YOURUSERNAME with your username on computer.
This will delete all saved flash cookies as well, because they won't be deleted by the browser settings.
Can't register!!!
Filled up the register form but nothing happened after I clicked the button. After several rounds of clearing my cache, restarting browser, trying different browsers and even as a last resort restarting my PC registration still didn't work. I followed the advice here to buy a street in another country and was finally able to register. But now I can't buy other streets in any country because the title cards don't show up, just a window saying "Having a look for available streets" (it's been having a look for 15 minutes) and when I do manual searches the street name pops up but not the title card so I can't buy. Seems some problems were fixed but not all of them...
Good job, guys! I'm very glad that now game works much more smoothly, than in first time start. Now i have buy a few good streets in Moscow, in place that really profitable and sweet for myself, i' m happy about it (will hope that my account will not registred second by other man, like in first attempt). Thanks, hope that game will be so rock and roll!

Random info I collected:
1. Besides clearing cache, it seems signing up in a different area helps you actually register.
2. Taxes are staying. Replies on Twitter show that they realize you will no longer make money after 38 streets and they want it like that. Complaining is pointless. Long streets and Big Buildings seem like keys to success now.
3. Accounts like Mr Monopoly are there to auction off the really nice streets that they don't want accessed early in the game.

The streets I bought (after the reset) aren't showing in my list, not even after log-out and log-in. They do appear red on the map though, but I can't build on them.
Loading of available streets in Firefox 3.5.3 takes forever. IE 8 is much better (unfortunately, I am a dedicated Firefox user!).

Just read the TAX clause ! What a total waste of time. At 38 streets you get taxed 100% and this is supposed to be a game of global domination. I had this many streets without cheating after just a week or so before the reset. So it would seem after about a month of playing everybody will be at the same level and incapable of any progression. Have you been thinking about this at all ?????
Game is now screwed completely. Not that it matters much to me since we still have the problem of not being able to register/login.

It maybe late, but I got a question/proposal about the rules. It is written, that bundled streets earn more money. Yet I have not seen this in practise. The general rule now is, the longer the street, to more rent it earns (not only the street itself, but every building on it earns more rent...having a street worth more than 1M, the smallest house earns more, than it costs in one day). Wouldn't it be nice, if the "length" of a street would be determined by the sum of lengths of all bundled streets ? This would give the game a brand new feeling and it would also make buying of short streets more meaningful (giving that it has some meaning at the present).

Love the proportional street prices too. My favourite (out of the way street) is now going to cost me $4.3M Hope I can save quickly enough to grab it before someone else does.

Reset's okay, but all it seems to have done is add higher-value streets to make the low-value ones even more worthless than they were before.
Hurry up and get the good streets quick, folks, because anyone who doesn't join today is screwed.
the street is owned by two players. I don´t mean one end by one player and other by the second player but the whole street is owned by me and has a red colour but at the same time is owned by somebody else and has blue colour. the colours cover each other and together the street has dark blue almost black colour? what to do with this???
Nothing has changed.... I logged in 30 minutes after restarting. And I can see only cheaters around me. All the streets around are bought by NickNameI, NickNameII, NickNameIII....and so on. How are you going to struggle against this?>??

If you buy a big street for aprox 1.3m and build 34 $50 houses on it your rent is over $2.4m, value is $3m and your score goes upto 5m. works cause i have done it without cheating!
Well folks, I think its clear. This is the biggest computer FOLLY in the history of mankind. Clearly, this doesnt work. And you know what? Hasbro is going to sell so many board games and their stock will rise 30-60%. We are pawnson a --Monopoly Board--. Whats next, someone going to create a chess game where we all play against each other? I bought a street the 1st minute of the game and filled it with buildings. But that was 2 hours ago. Since then, I cant even get the Street Cards to pop up. Its like the game just stop working. Can you say HAS-BRO-MY-ASS-BY-THE-BIGGEST-MARKING-SCAM-IN_HISTORY.

When you start you can't possibly buy any of the high value streets. Best bet is getting something along the lines of 1½ to 2 million and building 1st or 2nd house. That can get you to almost 3M rent the next day.
I'm eyeing three streets near where I live that are all in the 7M+ price range, that I'm planning to buy if I can.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 10M+ roads somewhere either. So in the end game, you won't want the 2M streets, so you can sell those off to the bank to avoid taxes, and someone else can jump for those.
That way it becomes a race to the top and not to the 1M streets.
It does cripple the low cost streets. In the board game the more expensive streets yield higher rent, but the buildings are also more expensive.
It's a shame they didn't use the time to up and downgrade the cost of the building according to the cost of the street like they do with the rent calculations.
That way the smaller streets would be just as useful
