There are dozens of streets in the game owned by Mr. Monopoly....he is the boss, after all. At some point in the future, Mr. Monopoly will be putting them up for auction so it's still anyone's game.

Serious guys a 100% income tax rate after 38 streets. Whats the point in try to play any longer after that.

If you got problems with registration, try to delete all content in this folder:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects/
*replace YOURUSERNAME with your username on computer.
This will delete all saved flash cookies as well, because they won't be deleted by the browser settings.

I've been checking some very long streets cost more than 3M in my home town. One play bought one of them. Placed a few house on it. Then got sabotaged. No other street, no rent, no cash. Bye bye.
With the new street price it is really not wise to buy such long streets in day one.

We have only ~20 available streets in our city. And ONLY this city have available streets in our region.
I understand, ofcourse, that first attention was gained to megapolices and our city (~0.7 mil. pop.) is a very small... But I see the streets a neighbour countries - they have a lot of available streets! Do something. We have only 6-7 active players from here, who can bought streets. Others compelled to buy in other regions or other countries.

EVERY SINGLE STREET WORTH MORE THAN 100 MILLION (100 000 000) THAT IS OWNED BY PLAYERS THAT STILL HAVE 3 MILLION (3 000 000) CASH SITTING IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SET UP BY THE DEVELOPERS.
The taxes are a bad idea . witht he street prices raised as well as the building rents lowered add in the random chance payouts as well as the possibility that some one will sabatoge your street that you will still have to pay taxes on . this makes the idea of a massive empire impossible particularly after you get to a certain point and the taxes become more than the rent comeing in. Don't mind the reset even though i lost my roads and money but drop the tax crap . i pay enough of that in real life and since when was there taxes in monopaly save on chance cards?

I'm facing a dozen of bots named smith1, smith2, etc. And they own lots of streets in my city. Where do they come from, it's not interesting to play like that if they're just bots or maybe one guy who have registered tons of accounts and going to sell everything to himself for cheap.
"Start by buying your street. Then your friends, then the neighborhood, then your whole town, then the world!"
You guys might want to change that part, considering you can't buy the world, let alone your entire town (or neighborhood even) with the 38 street cap.

you buy a big street for aprox 1.3m and build 34 $50 houses on it your rent is over $3m, value is $3m and score goes upto 5m. works cause i have done it without cheating!
ps. the score does not relate to your value.
nice - the first day, everyone has $3m, but pvtpunch can bye a street and many houses with a amount of over 6$m? how is this possible? never ever with regular playing imho :(

I donno how you guys are checking the cheaters. However I want to suggest that you guys check all the people whoever bought a single street over $3M or even $4M on day one. It is very likely, although not completely, impossible. I am sure many of thoes will have traits of money laundry.

Ok there is a LOT of cheating going on somewhow... There is NO WAY people can be building billion dollar streets when this was just restarted!!
How to Stop This Cheating?
The only way to stop people cheating is to make it not worth their while to make multiple accounts to trade up for profit.
Make it so that you can only sell to the bank, at half price, and elimate the trades (for profit) between 'fake account' players.

I don't understand something: How can one become a property magnate if you can only own a max of 38 streets?! What da' hell is that all about? So if I own a bunch of small subdivision streets I will be maxed out before I could really start bringing in a nice profit. Come on man... who was on the late night watch and thought of this asinine idea? Or, am I interpreting this rule wrong? Someone please help me here...

i agree to travelnotes. Trading between players forces cheating. It terrible sucks to see people with already more than 30 million on their accounts...
As long as they ban everyone on the leader list that is cheating, until they have a leader board of non-cheaters, I'm more than ok with the current system. Now that may take 50 people working all day, before they ban everyone, but after a week or so, cheaters will have a hard time keeping up with the exponential nature of the current system.
As far as the 38 street limit, run the numbers. You'll see that this game will be totally crazy in about a week.
Run the math, getting to a Trillion looks like it'll only take about 4 streets and 8 days.
Again, as long as they keep banning everyone that is cheating, this game is 90% math, and 10% luck, and very little room from cheating.

One other note, trading really is a very core piece of Monopoly, I mean its the heart of the game. To rip it out would violate the core game design.
Finding cheating is pretty easy to identify, basically any trade where there is an obvious mismatch in value. The most common will be selling a 100k street for 3M. This is such an easy DB query, they should be able to do this very easily.
Yes, there may be a lot of this, and it may take them tons of time to ban everyone that is cheating, but if that's the route they have chosen, and they are committed to that, I think it makes for a very fun game.
Again, let's hold them to their commitment to make this a fun and fair game, and give them a few days to work out how they can do that.
One suggestion I might have, would be to make all trades visible to all players. And, then a flagging system, like Craigslist, that allows the community to police the community.
Every request is a development request, why not ask for development that makes what they want work.
WHO OWNS THE STREET?
I have "Szent Istvan Korut" in Budapest given by a user for another road, but he still owns it (and my old road as well).... liquidz... so what to do?
Ok simple way to stop the cheaters is to analyse whats happened first day. Everyone starts with 3 mil so realistically theres no way you can end up with more than that after buying a street and building on it on the first day unless youre sickenengly lucky with chance cards - and that will be identifyable. Theres tons of 1.5mil and upwards streets to find and with some simple maths you can get a nice tidy sum the next day's rent but, theres the clue. THE NEXT DAY.... not on day 1!
Lets ban all these idiots with stupidly high account balances that are obviously laundering money left and right and keep it to those who want to play by the rules.
I've started playing again, and I like most of the improvements! The new scaled pricing of streets isespecially great, as it adds to the strategy and doesn't let the big streets go so easily.
I also like the idea of a tax for owning too many properties, but it's all wrong. 3% per street makes sense, but it's unrealistic to have it be a linear 3% into infinity. It needs to have a cap of 95-99% for the largest builders (38+ streets), but tax should NEVER go over 99%. That defeats the purpose of the game to become the "global real estate magnate". Fix that problem, and the game will be pretty much dead-on!

First off all i want to tell everyone that thinks that this game os from google...that the games isnt from google, if i was from google i am almost sure that some of the basic probles like multi-register would be solved before the game launch.
I hate the Tax but i love it... let me explain they want a max number of players tax stops stronger players froms buying everything... i still remeber the 1 day i wanted a street on my home town and even the mininstreets where bougth.
Second if anyone wants some Mega Hiper fast tips
here it goes:
-at begining buy a street at USA( it the one with more streets i guess) bu dont buy capital or crowded places try a "hiden" like Sparta( its around Atlanta ,but pls note that there are lots of places arond main citys that are good.
Oh and try buying some huge streets( lots of build space, that way u will kinda "go around taxes)
-Only build the 75$ houses to have a good start.
-When u get more money destroy the small houses in your big streets and build bigger ones.
My kind of guide may not be the best but after thinking a bit i found a way to :
Kinda go around taxes.
U have a big chance of getting your big streets, because at beggining my guid says to buy big streets and 75$ houses and buying raises chance for cards( these are the better ones now, if u dindt understood why just play has u want u will prob understand).
And if u fint a nice spot USA( there are a lot of them with big streets) u get hidden , untill u reach highscores =P lol....
Before reset i didnt got buldozed not even once i didint reached to the highscores and i didnt had any street in capital citys
The taxation system is fine-you don't want a small handful of people owning half the real-estate in the game.
This changes my strategy big time...

Any account with a high street value (above $ 1.5m)with a score and cash of $3m is a developer player owning a reserved property that will be sold later. They are doing this to stop people getting all the best streets early. these accounts include Blackpool2 and mr monoply. The best thing is how many hazards are being put on mr monopoly, because this makes no difference at all!!!

So what is the process for logging into your account when the server doesn't take your password?
I just registered my account, bought my first street and signed out. Now I can't login. I've tried Firefox, Opera, and IE, and have clear my cache - no luck.
I can see my street is still owned by my account, my work buddies can add me as a friend and everything. When I click on "Forgot Password", I get an error:
"Erm... we couldn't find a player with that nickname."
How can this get fixed?

Here is another problem,situation, why is it when you go to your property it doesn't take you there you have to search for it, one time going west for hundreds of miles?
I have the same problem of not being able to log on.
I brought my street and registered yesterday but when I try to log on again I get an incorrect password message.
If I click on 'forgot password' the message "Erm... we could't find a player with that nickname appears"
But if I look at the map I own the street!
And if I try to register again a message appears saying the nickname has already been used?

I have a question, was the idea behind tax to stop people having many many streets thereby making lots and lots of money therefore being able to buy lots more streets in effect creating a, what's the word for it..? ummm, MONOPOLY. Thinking about what does this game have to do with monopoly at all? Were the devs so desperate to get a big name that they forgot about creating a decent game? And how on earth did Hasbro allow their name to be given to this crap?
